12 Inexpensive DIY Projects That Will Make Your Bathroom Look Amazing!

    1) Make DIY Bathroom Shelving

*A good way to create more storage all the while getting to display all your trinkets is to add shelving to whatever fits the flow of your bathroom layout.

    2) Create a Spa-Like Ambiance

*If your bathroom is large enough, add a bench or some seating to give it a comfortable spa feeling. Add a small basket to hold towels neatly and close at hand.

    3) Update The Mirror

*Swap out your builder grade mirror with something more stylish. You can go to your local home improvement or home decor store in search for that perfect elegant mirror. Just as easily you can update a dated mirror with a DIY bathroom mirror frame.

    4) Paint An Outdated Vanity

*Update your dated vanity in an afternoon with a coat of paint and new hardware. You can even add prints and/or fabric to spruce it up.

    5) Or Just Simply Replace The Vanity

*If your vanity is beyond saving, consider replacing it with an antique dresser. Not only does this look beautiful, but it can add more storage drawers.

    6) Add Decorative Moldingboard-batten-walls

*To increase visual interest, add decorative molding to your bathroom walls using simple 1-by-4-inch pine boards and detailed trim.

    7) Replace The Shower Curtain

*To make your small bathtub feel larger, install a curved shower curtain rod. Swap out the old shower curtain with a pretty new one.

    8) Hang Additional Towel Hooks

*Large family? Add more towel hooks by attaching decorative storage hooks to a 1-by-6-inch board, and securing the board to wall studs.

    9) Stash Your Toiletries

*Still running out of storage space? Use storage baskets or bins to hide your toiletries. Make a storage unit like the one pictured above using one 8-foot long 1-by-8-inch board.

    10) Swap Light Fixtures

*Switch out a dated light fixture for a more modern light. If you have some electrical experience, you can do this yourself.

    11) Be An Artist

*Need inexpensive wall art? Create visual interest by applying wood scrap squares to the walls.

    12) Go Back To The Basics

*Fill a vase with fresh or fake flowers for a very simple and inexpensive bathroom decoration.
